Winning high-tech companies shine in Fast 50 spotlight

Why did more than 150 high-tech companies apply for a Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 award in 2001? Winners are clear about the benefits--the recognition opens doors to new clients, rewards employees and builds external eminence.

Triversity Inc., which offers software solutions for the retail industry, has won a Fast 50 award for the past three years. Greg Bandler, VP Marketing at Triversity, says the ranking elevates the software developer to “an elite group of high-calibre companies.” The company displays their Fast 50 awards on a wall of fame for their customers--and their employees.

“The Fast 50 award is a great internal motivator,” says Greg. “When we won the award this year and in 2000, we congratulated the staff. It’s due to their hard work that we’ve been able to make this happen and we wanted to give recognition where it is due.”

For first-time winner, Necho Systems Corp, the dual Fast 50 and Fast 500 awards have also instilled a high level of employee pride.

“The award sends out an important message about our accomplishments to employees, new recruits and prospective clients,” says Brigette Kocijanic, Communications Manager at Necho. “It raises our profile in the marketplace and attracts new clients as well as new talent.”

Brigitte notes that in today’s uncertain economy, the awards carry more weight than before. “Our clients want to cut costs by using our employee expense processing software. These awards tell them that they are working with a financially sound company that has longevity and a solid roster of clients.”
